Matco Distributors, the parent company of Cart-Mart was established 60 years ago in Milwaukee, WI and is still headquartered there. The Cart-Mart Division of Matco was established 20 years ago and is also headquartered there.

Ken Mater is President of Matco and has 35 years experience in the material handling industry, as does Dennis Doran, the manging general partner of Cart-Mart. Matco is a distributor, seller, designer and installer of new material handling systems. It represents over 300 different manufacturers of material handling equipment.

Matco specializes in the design of of high volume warehouse & distribution operations, with an emphasis on complex conveyor systems and their controls. The company employees a full-time millwright staff for the installation and tear down of all types of equipment necessary in these types of operations. Cart-Mart performs the same function with used material handling equipment. It also specializes in the sale of new and used non-powered cart systems for the dairy, horticultural & grocery industries.
